Vidya Balan at the launch of the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne

Indian Film Festival of Melbourne that runs through June 11-22, 2012, will have the launch of its festival programme by the National Award winning actress and film star Vidya Balan on Friday 11th May, 2012, at The Investment Centre, Collins St., as the Festival's ambassador.

On Saturday 12th May, she will be at the historic Melbourne Cricket Ground, presenting the match ball to umpires in the middle of the MCG prior to the Richmond vs Sydney match. She is the first Indian to have the honor of doing this according to a press release.

Vidya Balan is seen with Festival director Mitu BHomwick, Shane Warne & Premier of Victoria , Ted Ballieu.There was a special screening of 'The Dirty Picture' held at the festival followed by a Q&A session with Vidya Balan.
